Pottery Lessons and Classes!
Judy Burton has been a potter for 15+ years, and produces both functional and whimsical pottery for the home and garden. Come and take classes from Judy to learn to hand build and to throw on the wheel.
Classes offered Monday, Wednesday or Thursday nights, 6:00 to 8:30 for 10 weeks. Class size limited to four people; classroom has four wheels and a slab roller and various supplies for hand-building
Next Monday class begins on April 14th.
Next Wednesday class begins on April 16th.
Next Thursday class begins on April 17th.
Please let me know if you’re left handed. I have two wheels that can accommodate a left handed person and thus limit the class to a maximum of two left handed participants.
Cost is $250 + HST for the class (due on the first night), with supplies ($25) and firing/glazing extra.
Bring a bib apron to wear, cut your fingernails and leave your jewelry at home.
Studio is home to three large dogs.
Make-up policy: if you miss a class, there are two options to make the class up during the current session – either join another class when/if there is a vacancy, or use unsupervised studio time.
Firing and Glazing Price Schedule:
Beads, Ornaments - $1 each
Small Items., Bowls less than 5 inches in diameter - $5
Medium Items, Bowls between 5 and 8 inches in diameter - $10
Large Items – Individually priced between $10 and $20
Pottery Studio Rental:
If you are an experienced potter, looking to work independently in a well equipped studio, this is for you! Rental is $10 per hour, and includes the use of a wheel, the slab roller and molds, and all studio equipment. You supply your own clay and glazes, or you can buy them from me.
Studio clean-up after use is your responsibility.
